Large Debt purchasing group Capquest, have announced they will create up to 100 new jobs at their Glasgow site in Scotland.

A new recruitment drive will seek to fill around 100 call centre positions by the end of 2015. This will increase the number of employees to more than 200.

This latest announcement comes after Capquest was bought by Arrow Global, a debt collecting and purchasing group, in November of last year.

Speaking on behalf of Arrow Global, Helen Ashton, Group Chief Operating Officer, said: “Capquest has already recruited a significant number of people from the local area. Today’s announcement reaffirms our commitment and long-term plans for the site.

“We’re looking for friendly and dedicated individuals who will relish the opportunity. Our customers often have very sensitive financial issues and need help understanding and addressing them.

“We offer employees real progression opportunities and have had a number of people join our call centre and progress to more specialist and senior roles within the business.”

Capquest, whose UK headquarters are in Hampshire, allows employees paid leave to work with a charity of their choice and takes part in Sport Relief and Children in Need.

The company recently won the ‘Investors in People Silver Award’ and has been recognised for its work in the local community.

Senior Client Relationship Manager at Capquest’s Glasgow site is Stephen Kelly.

He said: “I’ve been with Capquest for 10 years and in that time I’ve seen the company grow from strength to strength. I feel comfortable in the knowledge that I’m part of an organisation that’s constantly evolving and is forward thinking in its approach.

“Capquest is an open door in terms of opportunities. You can come in with little or no experience and work your way up.

“The team in Glasgow are friendly, open and honest and also consciously make it a great environment for new recruits. We’re keen to foster a positive work place for all our employees so regularly organise social events and contribute to charity fundraisers.

“I’m pleased to say that the Glasgow site always raises the most money, testament to our team spirit and dedication.

“Everyone has a great understanding for what other people are doing which I feel is conducive to happy staff.”

Capquest have invested heavily in updating their IT systems over the past couple of years and improved facilities at its Glasgow site to benefit the working environment of its staff.
