UK based Debt Collection Agency Sentinel Debt Recovery Limited went into a sudden liquidation at the end of November 2014 leaving its clients and debtors alike in limbo.
Since 2008, Sentinel had been trading and served businesses across the country in respect of its debt recovery services and catered for all types of businesses and traders, from wholesalers to landlords and even offered to collect private debts on behalf of individuals.
Their registered office is given as Green Gables, 5 Stocks Lane, Chorley England PR7 5LT although it is believed they traded from a different address in the same region.
The complicated fall out from their surprise liquidation is that many of the instructing parties have no idea what is happening with their cases or if indeed what monies were or had been recovered.
It is believed there are potentially 100 or more companies and individuals who may have been affected by Sentinel’s unfortunate demise and even more debtors who have no ideas where they legally stand in respect of payments made.
An example of this found within the public domain is Dave Ellis from Leicester. Clearly quite aggrieved he reviewed the company stating “Now put the company into liquidation and still owe me my fees back”
Tony Smith from leading Debt Collection comparison site www.best4debtcollection.co.uk said “It is imperative that when instructing a third party agency, you conduct full due dilligence prior to doing so”
